I know this pizza looks a little odd, but it takes great. I especially enjoyed the blueberry side, since it tastes like a classic cheese pizza that’s been modernized. The cream cheese goes well with the mozzarella. As for the strawberry side, that’s definitely a “dessert pizza.” For the pizza sauce, I combined cream cheese and marshmallow fluff. The strawberry side was definitely a bit messier than I was expecting, but it tasted lovely.
Simple Pizza Crust:
1 1/4 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup warm water
1 teaspoon honey
Blueberry Half:
1 cup fresh blueberries
2 ounces cream cheese, softened
fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into strips
shredded mozzarella cheese
salt
Strawberry Half:
fresh strawberries, sliced
2 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons marshmallow fluff
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon sugar
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 425F.
2) For the pizza dough, use a large bowl to hold the self-rising flour. Slowly pour the warm water, working it into the flour. Add honey. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
3) In a small bowl, place cream cheese into bowl, stir to soften. In another small bowl, mix together cream cheese and marshmallow fluff until well combined.
4) Spread the cream cheese mixtures (one for each half,) as evenly as possible over the surface of the crust.
5) Place the blueberries on one half of the pizza and the strawberries on the other half.
6) Drizzle the honey and sprinkle the sugar over the strawberries.
7) For the blueberries, add the fresh mozzarella strips the shredded mozzarella. Sprinkle on a little salt.
9) Place the pizza directly onto the oven rack and bake for about 20 minutes or until the cheese melts and the blueberries begin to juice.
10) Allow to cool for a few minutes, cut and serve.
