I always underestimate project completeness on my blogs and sites like Ravelry, because I don’t want to say a project is 60% done and then it turns out not to be and I’ve essentially lied.

I need to clear this stuff out. All prices are USD. PayPal only, credit cards accepted but no eChecks. I will ship just about anywhere (I’m in the US). Shipping is calculated at cost; please send me an ask with your ZIP code (or country, outside the US) and what you’re interested in for a quote.

I had started a very asymmetrical mod of the Unbiased bag with this yarn, but I had to frog because it’s been too long since I started it. I think I’m going to start back up with the same idea, though.

Charging money for a pattern is a bit pretentious.

Getting paid for their work? Who do people think they are?

I don’t care, wooden knitting needles are dreadful!  The yarn doesn’t move with the motions.  I spend more time moving the yarn then actual knitting. I will take my metal knitting needles any day. Basically, I feel the same way about plastic or acrylic needles.

I have to respectfully disagree - it really depends on the needles. Most of my needle collection is Brittany Birches and I love them. My circulars are Clover bamboo, and I do have some Boye aluminum straights (which is what I learned on), but I love my Brittanys.

I hate it when people complain about their mothers not teaching them to knit. Our mothers were the first generation who didn’t HAVE to learn how to knit in order to provide for the household. That we can knit for pleasure instead of necessity is a goddamn luxury, and you should be grateful your mother had that choice to make.

You know how I learned how to knit? I went digging through my mom’s yarn bag out of curiosity, found an 8 page booklet on beginning knitting, and taught myself. My mom practically crapped a brick when she realized I was knitting after merely looking at those diagrams. Anything I’ve needed to learn past that, I’ve looked it up online.

It really, REALLY bothers me when people can’t tell the difference between a knit project and a crochet project. The stitches don’t even look remotely the same.

Or when anything lacelike is automatically crochet, even though it isn’t.
